Bedrooms

Drawing Room

A beautifully proportioned room with magnificent bow window. Gold leaf and moulded cornicing to panelled ceiling with decorative rose inserts and lights. Original shutters on windows with part-panelled walls. Two carved marble fireplaces with decorative cast iron back plates, marble mantels and marble pillars to side with slate hearths. Polished wood floor. Double matching panelled doors at either end of the room with panelled walk through.

Dining Room

The dining room contains a bay window with original shutters with stunning views of the Abbey Ruins. The entire room is made up of intricately carved, Italian panelled walnut walls and doors. The panelled ceiling is made up of gold leaf cornicing and a decorative rose. Stone fireplace with cast iron fleur de lys plate and slate hearth. Gold leaf stone over mantel richly decorated with birds, flowers and foliage and arched mirror with decorative carved eagle. Built in shelved storage cupboard. Silver leafed wall lights.

The Chinoiserie Room

Extremely warm and cosy room with two corner windows with original shutters and magnificent views of Bayham Ruins and Lake. Panelled ornate ceiling with decorative ceiling rose and gold leaf finish. Original brass light switches. Carved marble fireplace with decorative cast iron back plates, marble mantel and marble pillars to side with slate hearth. Polished oak wood floor.

Billiards Room

Panelled ornate ceiling with gold leaf finish and decorative ceiling rose. Polished wood floor. High skirting boards. Original brass light switches. Italian animal carvings, marble fireplace with decorative cast iron back plates, marble mantel and marble pillars to side with slate hearth. Polished wood floor.

Library

Original hand-carved leather wallpaper walls. Marble fireplace with cast iron fleur de lys plate and slate hearth. Bay window with original shutters overlooking West driveway. Two further windows with original shutters. Three chandeliers and eight ceiling lights. Polished wood floors.

Gymnasium

A converted cellar converted into a state-of-the-art gym. The wooden sprung floor and the original vaulted ceilings give it a nice cool atmosphere.
